One thing that my momma always taught me growing up was the power of our words and of our thoughts. I always remember her saying, “It takes ten positive comments to outweigh one negative… Now say ten nice things to your brother.”
And, I can’t even begin to explain the life lessons she taught us about having a positive thought life… “Brooke, have you ever heard of P.M.A.? Positive. Mental. Attitude! Your attitude will determine if you are successful in life… Now say it with me P.M.A…P.M.A.”

Seriously y’all, I love my mom (and my dad!) so much and I’m so thankful for my upbringing and think they are the best parents in the world! They truly are the reason I am where I am today.
All that to say… I made a new lock screen for y’all! (And for me!) 🙂
This is one of my all time favorite verses and I think it is so so so important for us to dwell on it every day and to memorize it because it truly is a daily surrender.
