How To Turn Your Grocery Store Flowers Into Chic Arrangements

Fresh flowers are an absolute must at the Ring household!  We’ve gotten a lot of questions lately about how to arrange florals, so we thought we’d take advantage of our last minute grocery store run and share with you some insider tips and tricks on how we arrange our flowers!

The first thing you need to do is choose your vessel. Think outside the box and get creative…look around your house!

Go to your local grocery store and look for a chic statement flower (roses, hydrangeas, peonies, etc.) and pair them with greens (eucalyptus, myrtle, fern, etc.). We decided to use roses and eucalyptus for this simple arrangement!

Cut scotch tape in half length wise and make a grid on your vessel opening. You can use less flowers to fill the space, hold them in place, and allows more control of arrangements. This is my favorite trick that has made making bouquets so much easier!

Start at the base with the greens. Cut them to a desired height to form the shape of the bouquet you are trying to make.

Next, take your statement flowers and cut them into varying heights.

Place your statement flowers into bare spots to add pops of color to your bouquet.

Lastly, fill your vessel with ice cold water and add ice cubes.  Change out the water if it gets cloudy to prolong the life of your flowers and ensure they last longer!
