We just got back from a 2 1/2 week vacation to France and Italy. To say this trip was a trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. We started our trip in Paris and made our way down to the Amalfi Coast and tried to cover just about everything in between. Everywhere we went there was some form of new inspiration. While we were in Florence, I went on inspiration overload and had to stop right then and there to buy supplies from a local art supply shop and started to paint watercolors of our travels.
Michael and I made it a point to take advantage of this adventure and walked over 100 miles in the span of those 2 weeks…resulting in me going a notch in on my belt loop whilst still being able to enjoy all of our macaroon, gelato, and carb intake! (Definitely a win win situation!) The Amalfi Coast was hands down the most beautiful place I’ve ever been in my life. Everywhere you looked there was inspiration; whether it be the unique architecture, the crystal blue water, or all of the different sailboats that decorated the Mediterranean Sea. John Steinbeck said it best, “Positano bites deep. It is a dream world that isn’t quite real when you’re there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.”
Keep scrolling to see a sneak peek of some of the watercolors I painted of my travels along with a few pictures from our trip. Tune in tomorrow night @ 9pm EST for the launch of these paintings!
